Los Angeles (CA) – It’s time to start your downloading as Mozilla has released a brand new pre-release version of the upcoming Firefox 3 browser. Release Candidate 1 is available for Macs, Linux and of course Windows machines in an amazing 45 languages.
We’ve been testing out the beta versions (there have been five) of Firefox 3 and have noticed that the browser is quite a bit quicker than FF 2. However, we must admit that website compatibility and stability isn’t that great, but you really can’t expect perfection from a beta release can you? There are a host of new features in FF3 like full-page zoom that remembers zoom settings per site and a new download manager that can resume downloads after closing the browser (praise the lord!). There’s also minor improvements like the ability to save all the webpage tabs you have open and triple-clicking now selects a paragraph. You can read all the release notes and download the browser here.
