It turnes a bad thing to a good thing. It is great to see some one use all that older technology. It helps those to upgrade the computers without having to feel bad about it.

How can they make fuel from everything but not sh*t? don't get me wrong, but I am serious about this, you can extract CH4 from excrement specially from pig sh*t (yes, I saw it in Mad Max movie, but it is real).

That's great. Except things like this have a way of not being implemented in any reasonable amount of time. Like solar panels are still tiny compared to burning fuels. When are we going to see the computer recycle plants beginning to take the parts and turn them into plastic and fuel?

and beyond that, there will be companies like DELL who will invest in computer parts recycling, cause it'd be a profitable industry and they'd be doing good for the people

Solar panels produce power whether direct sunlight is on them or not...any light shined on them will create a voltage, albeit less than a direct sun source.

They are still one of the most viable sources of "green" energy. Look at Germany..

While I may not be all too patriotic, I shall say this one out loud: I hate American lack of basic geography skills. It’s apparently a pandemic on par with obesity and ignorance of the crappy state the US is in (for those whom I may have offended: I will not apologize for the truth!). Turkey is indeed a European / Middle Eastern country, but Romania is a Central European one (Europe ends with the Ural mountain range in Russia) and if anyone will look at a map (use Google Earth people, it really is both useful and cool) they’ll see it’s right smack in the middle of Europe, therefore the title of the piece is quite a bit off. Come on guys, if I can’t trust TG daily with the basic stuff, where in America can I place my faith? Oh, and yes, I am Romanian!

Just a guess... but this probably uses wayyyyyyy more energy than can be harvested from the PCBs... and where does most of that energy come from? Burning fossil fuels. You don't get something from nothing, so sorry folks, there is no miracle solution.. yet... What we really need is a whole new technology or fuel source (fusion?)... recycling, in general (because nothing is 100% efficent) requires more energy be put in than can ever be extracted. And food competing with fuel is asinine.... Anyways, enough ranting.. what DO we do? I don't suppose I'm an expert, but here goes....

As far as current tech, my vote goes for geothermal, and nuclear. Wind farms, solar, hydroelectric... forget it. Wind farms disrupt airflow patterns and weather, kill birds, they're an eyesore and public nuisance only work in windy areas and have a low power density. Hydroelectric dams... well require dams.. which can be a real problem particularly for creatures like salmon and beavers and can absolutely wreak havoc on the natural flow of water as well. And solar... While the idea is wonderful, I don't think the tech is there yet. The efficency is only at around 15% when new a degrade rather quickly(and even less in space than on earth) they're expensive (highly efficent models costing 10s to 100s of times more than the 15% efficent ones) and solar farms also have a relatively low power density while covering a very large area.

Or maybe we can just do something totally crazy and build a massive nuclear powerplan/hydroelectric dam on a geothermal hotspot covered in wind farms and solar panels :-p Yeah, thats it!
