Livermore (CA) – Sure incandescent lightbulbs burn out quite often, but one bulb has outlived them all by burning for 107 years straight. The bulb is installed at the Livermore Fire Station #6 and has never been turned off. Firefighters zealously guard the bulb and have plugged it into a surge protector, battery and diesel backup systems. They have even set up a website with a 24-hour a day live webcam feed of the bulb. You can reach the lightbulb website here, but it currently unavailable due to the flood of traffic.
