Companies involved in SanDisk's lawsuit have seen an unexpected development as SanDisk is said to have rescinded one complaint involving a key patent that is also involved in a patent dispute with STMicroelectronics, according to sources at Taiwan memory makers. SanDisk filed patent infringement complaints against various companies in late 2007, including one involving US patent number 5719808 (patent 808), according to a company filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
