Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) – Vietnam launched its first satellite over the weekend. The Vinasat-1 was on board an Ariane 5 rocket and lifted off from French Guiana on Friday evening. The satellite can transmit 10,000 voice/data channels or 120 television channels.
