Executives from Microsoft and Yahoo apparently met this week to discuss Microsoft’s acquisition offer. According to an article published by the Wall Street Journal, no progress has been made and neither Microsoft nor Yahoo moved towards a possible compromise. Yahoo won’t negotiate an acquisition without an improved offer, and Microsoft has not been willing to shell out more cash. Recent analyst reports indicated that Microsoft in fact may raise its bid into the neighborhood of $34 per Yahoo share, up from its current offer of $31.
