Motorola said that it will cut its workforce by 2600, in addition to 7.500 positions the company eliminated in the past 15 months. Motorola employed about 66.000 people at the beginning of this year. According to a SEC filing, the headcount reduction will result in charges of about $104 million.
Last week, Motorola announced that it will split into two companies.
