A#1... security. MS tried this with IE several times. Too much integration is bad.

"greater integration with content stored on computer hard drives" - which means, not greater integration with the operating system. One thing Firefox excels at is being mostly separated from the OS. Like another layer or something. And despite that, manages to be one of the fastest browsers I know, and easily fine tuned too.

Many browsers have tried to do this. None have worked well to date (that I know of). Maybe FF can do it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The title is a bit misleading:

Firefox 3 is nearing completion; it's already feature-complete (Public Beta 5, the last beta, is on the mozilla ftp server). Only bug-fixing is left, but I've been using the browser since beta 1 with little or no issues.
Firefox 4 is in pre-alpha development, which is fast compared to development cycles of typical closed source browsers.

Would be interesting to know if Firefox 4 is going to pass the Acid 3 test at 100%. Currently Firefox 3 is getting only 70%. IE8 beta 1 scores significantly lower, but both Safari & Opera supposedly get 100% already

Hmmm... This is rather interesting, to see what all new features are coming up in this technological world of day... Firefox is an awesome browser... Excuse me for my ignorance, but is there a mobile version of Firefox...?

If you get the Google plugin you can sync your bookmarks and passwords over the internet through Google. I have been using it for about 6 months and it works great so i would say that they could easily get those things integrated.

MozillaFireFox really needs to focus on more basic things:
- Better performance when having multiple tabswindows open. FireFox can be slow as molasses.
- During installation, being able to choose what partition and folder to install the user profile. I had a little trouble with this one.
- When FireFox is not open and you double-click on an Internet Shortcut, it uses the default Profile location. I want it to use my Profile in my own location, very amateurish. I tried fixing this in Windows but I don't know how to do this. You must delve into the Registry.
- Additional user installablecustomizable buttons and hotkeys for "Print Preview", "Full Screen Mode" (F11 hotkey does work in FireFox on this one), "Print Setup", and FireFox "Options."
- Being able to quickly MOVE OR COPY an open tab from one FireFox window to another.
- This is my personal preference: It is fastereasier to identify Bookmarks on the horizontal Bookmark Bar when they have icons instead of words. Most of my visible Bookmarks have icons and no words. I am also able to squeeze more visible Bookmarks on the bar this way. There should be an option to use a user icon when the website doesn't have one, as in IE.
- Ability to Save pages similar to the IE "MHT" format. Also, when saving pages, FireFox should automatically offer the Page Title, not its filename. I like to save news items and I must copy and paste the News title over the filename every time. After I save a page, I must clear it from the "Downloads" window every time. There should be an option not to place a Saved page in the Downloads window. I do like to see actual downloaded files in the Downloads window.

you need to get Fire Fox 3 beta and check out Mozilla Add-Ons!
Almost all of what you mentioned has an add-on for it.

An this is a good thing because it lets everyone create or have access too extra features that customize their INTERNET experience.
