New York (NY) – Corporate email junkies will soon be able to get their Lotus Notes emails on an iPhone. Mike Azzi, an IBM spokemans, told Computer World that the company’s developers are working on a Notes e-mail app. Azzi didn’t elaborate any further and didn’t give costs or release dates. Most likely IBM will be using Apple’s newly released SDK to program the application. Apple released the SDK last week and will allow developers to keep 70% of revenues generated from resulting programs. IBM estimates that there are still 140 million Lotus Notes users around the globe. Jeez that app gave me nightmares back in the Dot-Com days and just needs to die. Read more … ComputerWorld.
