I am concerned about MS and Google knowing that much about me. I might stop using digg the same way if it gets ASSIMILATED. I however would like kevin to get his payday.

Much as it'd be interesting to see Digg owned by Microsoft, it'd be funnier to see Slashdot controlled by MS. I'd love to see that.

I was a slashdotter for a while. And one time, I criticized about "Year of Linux on desktop". Obviously, problem with linux is.. it is still miles away from an average to sub average PC user's comfort zone.

So what happened, I was modded down to -1 as flamebait. But most comments under my reply more or less admitted most of the Linux problems. Anyway, slashdot is the paradise for linux geeks. They just hate M$ and any other giant cash cow somewhat monopolistic companies.

After being there for 2 yrs, I don't think reading slashdot is really helpful unless the thread is on programming. Lot of programmers are there, so I pick up good feedback from them on programming matters. But comments on other topics are very biased or simply worthless wasting time reading them.

Anyway.. I think we are seeing the next phase of "big fish eat small fish" in tech world. Google ate Youtube, Microsoft ate many.. AMD ate ATI.. it goes on.. welcome to 21st century tech-biz.
