Now if AMD moved to 45nm they could reduce the power needs and could have >45 watt processors. AMD needs to do something to get market share lost to Intel because it was slow getting out their Quad Core processors. What AMD needs to do is get out a 8 or even 16 core processor. If AMD could get out a 8 Core processor the hard core gamers would jump all over this. Intel is coming out with a 6 core processor and AMD is still trying to get there Quad working. But even still that is all useless because most programs do not take advantage of Dual Core let lone 4,6,8 or even 16 cores. When Windows 7 comes out in 2010/2011 it will provide more support for multi-cores even if the program does not support multi-cores.
