Activision CEO says $1 billion investment needed to compete against WoW

Santa Monica (CA) – Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick believes it would take another game company from $500 million to $1 billion to compete with Blizzard’s World of Warcraft.  Possibly even more shocking is that Kotick says such a grand venture still wouldn’t be a guaranteed hit.

Fortunately for Kotick, he doesn’t have to compete with Blizzard because Activision and Vivendi Games merged last year to create Activision Blizzard.
