Amsterdam (Netherlands) – Famous rave DJ Tiësto has joined forces with Streamline Studios, the makers of music and special effects for famous game titles like Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3.  According to an official press release from Streamline Studios and Black Hole Recordings, the new joint venture between two companies will enable this and that (your typical blah blah PR spin). New company was named Streamline Sound, but that is irrelevant.

What made this announcement important is the influence of involved companies. You probably did not hear anything about these two, but these companies are heavily experienced in the world of games and music. From one side, Streamline Studios is guilty for music and effects from titles such as Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3. From another side, you have a studio that was co-founded by Tiësto, and hosts numerous artists.

Tiësto states that he “wanted to help create a platform to not only put my own musical ideas into games ,but the music of innovative artists from all genres, whether electronic, classical, rock, or hip-hop.”. All that we can say is we wish the best of luck for the new venture, and now you know you won’t be surprised when you hear some tracks from Tiësto in a future hit-title, let’s say Gears of War 2.
