Once they get rid of those white lines, that thing is going to be absolutely amazing! Why bother with multiple monitors if you can get your hands on one of those?

DLP should be able to do 3840 x 1080 easily. I hope they reconsider the resolution before releasing it.

My computer screen has a MUCH higher resolution and it is really cheep. besides the picture will probably be at least somewhat distorted.

It looks like 4 monitors slapped together.

2880 by 900 pixels and a .02 millisecond response time, all wasted since it's not a continuous curve. It looks terrible!

Well my friend we are entering the age of High Def gaming where 1600P is your hopeful target.

If you're planning on usting ATI 1900/1950 XTX for a few more years then yeah you'll love this.

But the fact that the posting says "Unfortunately, there was no mention of pricing, but we expect it to be very, very expensive." is quite scary because for the big bucks you should be getting big quality.

Contiguous display doesn't overcome the shabbier resolution. 900 pixels??? why make that today?

Three thin 1080P LCD monitors with better res or this thick one with lower res. The choice seems clear for a non deal price. LOL those 3D glasses offer the same viewing perspective and similar resolution for less.

For 1699 for instance you can't go wrong with the XHD3000 from gateway (If you're a rapid reward best buy member you get an added benefit). It accepts many types of video input. And upconverts (YES!!! The Monitor Performs upconverting) to 1600P.

Even movies 1080P to 1600P, this is an arguable benefit due to the 30" screen size and the distance from the monitor. But from reviews it has crisper and better video.

The only thing really missing is a better color gamut. But it kicks all other monitors (in this class) ass as of today.

it need to be a real smooth curve.
it's quit good but not good enough that I will buy at all cost.
with all the angle lines shown here, I can cheaply get 4 monitors with really small side frame to do similar at a much lower cost.

just wait for OLED and it probably can be curved smoothly and light and thin and cheap.

Tom's is always showing us how the manufacturer's stated refresh rate for an LCD is nothing remotely close to reality. So why is every article I've seen on this monitor shouting "has an incredible .02 millisecond response time"? Yes it's cool and curvey, but come on guys...

With flexible OLED screens being developed, one would have a truly curved screen. OLED use less energy since they are self illuminating.

The screen is truly curved. It is not segmented. The lines are from the projection and they will be eliminate in production. The reason the resolution is low, I think, is because of the speed of display. They switched display to Windows desktop and it is a little fuzzy. But for gaming, it worked great.

I'd rather have 1/2 the resolution on a more immersive monitor personally. Beside, there's a lot of haters posting who haven't seen this in person. You can't tell how good a monitor is from a photograph taken in a crowded venue. You can only tell when looking at it personally. just like most LCDs look like crap when you're out of their prime viewing angle, I'm sure this doesn't look as good either.

As far as response time, remember, no one worried about response time with CRTs...

why would anyone pay that much to have a monitor to game on? how rich do you have to be to justify spending whatever ungodly amount they decide to charge just to play games.

If it turns out as expensive as predicted, then it's absurd. Get a decent projector, and go WALL sized...
