Las Vegas (NV) - We had the opportunity to take a behind-closed-doors look at Westinghouse's newly announced wireless HDTV sets, as well as several other interesting products it had on display.

The wireless HDTV technology allows users to have a high definition video signal sent to a TV with no physical cable connection.  For example, you could have your Playstation 3 sitting on an A/V rack, and play it on your HDTV without worrying about hooking the two together.

It is powered by Pulse Link's CWave UWB chipset, which has a 1.35 Gbps over-the-air signaling rate and can deliver 890 Mbps.  According to Westinghouse, the signal was still as strong as 115 Mbps when the devices were 40 feet apart.  Westinghouse recently entered into a partnership with Pulse Link to provide the technology to their TVs.  A release date is still unconfirmed.
