They forget to add the line about being committed to crappy port jobs to the PC about a year or two later after each product's release.

but "true" Mac fanboys refuse to play games.

From a PC gamer perspective (and the already bad support for PC), not a big loss since there are better games anyway. Looking forward to the hype when Halo 3 is release 2 years from now probably boasting claims like "revolutionary" yada yada. In fact, if Halo 2 is any indication, Bungie sure isn't about fair play anyway -- with or without MS!

It may take a while for them to start thinking like an independent company, but once the MS stink is out of their clothes they may want to pull up a spreadsheet and calculate the potential profits by releasing the game to Wii, PS3, Mac, and PC. In the meantime, I'm not about to buy an XBox 360 just to play Halo; I can wait.

The are independent? well, still MS own most of it's stock.
If they are independent they will look at spreadsheet and see how much they have to spend to
migrate to other platform and how much they can sell. As long as money can be made, no one will say no unless he has problem with making more money for the stock holder...if the CEO insist..may be the board should vote to fire the CEO that is stupid not maxmizing profit.
As for Halo, it's a good first person shooter for
game concole..however, compare to PC ones, it's really lame. I am not sure I really like first person shooter on my concoles since it's like playing games from a few years back on PC...

Bungie will not be making any Halo games for any other system. Microsoft owns the Halo franchise and they are going to keep it on their systems. I would imagine Bungie will not do another shooter right now. At least, that isn't what I would do. But then again, you do what you're best at.

I can get a sequil to ONI. I loved that game on the PS2 (though I hear it was better on the mac).

Anywho, I'm glad they are free, and am sure this is just because someone asked, and they honestly dont have "plans" to leave MS. Dosnt mean they wont, it just means they arent at the deciding point yet.

Bungie is independant from microsoft the same way a 14 year old with a modest allowance is independant from their parents.

As for the PC ports, neither were developed by Bungie. Halo:CE on PC was developed by Gearbox and Halo2 Vista was developed internally at Microsoft Game Studios.
