Redmond (WA) - Despite recently severing its official ties to Microsoft, Halo developer Bungie said it has no plans to move on to any console other than the Xbox 360.

Bungie's Jonty Barnes said in an interview with online outlet Eurogamer that the company's position with Microsoft remains positive and that there are no immediate plans to branch off.

"We're really focused on continuing our collaboration in making the best games we can, and that right now is on 360," said Barnes.

However, Barnes did admit that the company must "never say never".

Earlier this year, Bungie broke off of Microsoft to become an independent developer.  Previously, the software giant owned the niche gaming company.  Bungie was the developer for all three Halo games.
