Vizio remains the market leader in the LCD TV segment, but Samsung, Sharp and Sony are getting more aggressive to claim a greater share of the market. According to market estimates released by iSuppli on Tuesday, Vizio held a 13.0% share in Q3, down from 13.7% in Q2.

Samsung, ranked second, was able to gain two points from 10.8% to 12.8% in the same time frame. Sharp in #3 also gained significantly and is now estimated at 12.0%, up from 9.8% in Q2. Sony in fourth was even more successful on a percentage basis, as the company was able to grow its share from 6.0% in Q2 to 10.1% in Q3. Polaroid rounds out the top 5 ranking with a share of 9.1%, up from 8.5% in Q2.

Sell them for $100 and the whole market is yours.

Here's an idea stop forcing people to pay so much for an upgrade. Sell them for 100 bucks and company X will be in every home. Figure out a way to pass on the rest of the cost to the The Man/Government who is forcing high def TVs into every home.
