Everyone loves antivirus programs!! I'd love to put one of these on my machine and slow it down, maybe it would let me win at tekken? Maybe we can use one of the cell's cores strictly for antivirus!! Damn i'm excited.

The one advantage I always thought that consoles had was the OS was made for gaming with few useless programs running, now they're adding more and more, eventually it will become bloated as any m$ OS.

I work for Trend Micro as a Support Engineer and I have not heard of this... I guess they soon should assign PS3's to us so that we can play... err... test this new AV product ^_^

I guess sooner or later the browser will get updated and be more robust but as of now I don't know how neccessary it is.. But kuddos to Trend Micro for doing something before an incident occurs.

Finally, I can get rid of all these damn viruses on my PS3!!

Does anyone use this device for playing games? I mean seriously...

Are they serious?? Isn't this something Sony should be concerned about? Reality is how many true PS3 viruses are out there?? And when are you going to run across it? It's the same argument about Linux users who swear they can't get viruses. Eventually they will as Linux becomes more and more popular. Right now I think it's a wasts of time and resources to devote the idea to PS3 when it's mostly a game console with extra features.

If I want to surf the net I use a friggin PC!

Trendmicro even though i have been with use for years, and right now i still think Trendmicro is the best and has the highest and latest security, i think they are starting trouble with hackers, like some others said in their comments, there is no viruses yet for PS3 and i think that no hacker was thinking of making viruses or anything for that but now that the world knows that there is security for all this, the fun has begun for all those hackers, so basically trend micro is kind of like saying to hackers to try to get through there security and make viruses or else like why would trend micro produce security for PS3 if there is no reports for that on PS3... anyways have fun Trendmicro use have just added a hole heep of extra weight on your backs good luck.
