Wow Acer, don't waste youre time! Its because of your company that there are bad/cheep computers out there. You should close shop and just let the real computer companies handle this. I'm tired of only fixing youre brand.. or you could just make a quality computer...

Acer has high end products as well as low end products, just like all of the other manufacturers in this industry. Maybe you should spend more than $75 on a mainboard. I know that when I used to run the repair shop at my job, I saw Asus boards in for repair most often... usually the ones with the VIA chipsets.

I personally favor both Gigabyte and certain MSI boards, in terms of quality of construction.

I am belong to a company where Acer brand is promoted in our country. Yes, because of that, we get laptops for office use. I am sick of those cheap designs. I can't buy Dell or HP because of this dealership.

Back in uni, most my uni pals bought Acer Travelmate as their laptop for a cheal deal. I went to CompaqHP instead. Most ppl thought I am nutz back then. After 1 year, 90% of those travelmate's pay the price of being cheap by some sort of a catastrophic failure (usually LCD display fails).
