Syntax-Brillian recently announced that it intends to close or divest, through a possible sale to a third party, that portion of its operations in Tempe dedicated to the manufacture of liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) microdisplays and light engines. In either case, the company expects to have closed or divested the manufacturing business by year end 2007. More here at Digitimes.
