Tokyo (Japan) - The company behind the development of Halo 3 said that after this summer's public beta it realized it needed three times more capacity than it initially had.

At a discussion during the Tokyo Game Show, Bungie production head Jonty Barnes talked about the effects of the game's beta test earlier this year.

Gamespot quoted Barnes as saying, "The amount of polish feedback was especially helpful, and we also found we had to triple our server capacity."

Barnes talked about the many positive factors of using a public beta to test out the kinks of a game.  He reportedly mentioned that user feedback drove the development team to work harder and that it was able to fix the technical issues that would have been difficult to pinpoint in a limited testing environment.

Halo 3 will launch September 25 in three versions ranging from $60 to $130.
