Such an ingenious and expensive way to make a full of yourself... playing wow on IPhone.

Playing serious games requires serious gaming gear most of the time, gaming mice, keyboards, big screens (even high quality positional audio).

Whatever Joyce did it wasn't 'gaming' but rather a mere attempt to give some meaning to a almost useless device.

If you have so many esteem issues that you can't sit in a dark room BY YOURSELF without feeling envy over some gadget some other person owns I think you need to ebay that rig and get some counseling.

I agree that iPhones are overrated. They're almost as useless as $5000 computers that are worth $800 in 6 months.

This is only news if you didn't know its been being done for a long time now. I know people that were logging onto EVE via phones and pdas at least a year, maybe closer to 2 years ago.
I'm sure people have been doing it with WoW too (I just haven't yet talked to anyone that is doing it) the only difference there is that it wasn't on the iphone which the press doesn't seem to stop talking about but I have yet to run into a real person even mentioning the iphone.

I don't understand why hype is being thrown onto the iPhone for things that are old. Using Telekinesis to port a game to a phone can be done on virtually any smart phone and is not something unique or new to the iPhone. I just can't comprehend why people are falling all over such a mediocre phone.

It's not enough that the two Apple guys I work with are desperate to find unique uses for their Mac's. This is just another weak and futile attempt to overthrow the PC dynasty :-) Long live Lord Gates !!!

that is the beauty of Apple, and why it is never designed for the tech geek. How many people before the iPhone knew about remote desktops, and all the other features? Very few. Not to say that they weren't possible before, just technically out of reach for most people. Apple comes along and makes cool gadgets and tech that everyone can use and understand.

Because it is all they have to write about. It is a dry time for tech, and the iPhone is the only new gadget that actually offers soemthing to everyone, and not just one target group. AMD has nothing new they will tell us about, Intel has nothing new, ATI has nothing new, Nvidia has nothing new etc....

Apple has something new! I hate it just as much as anyone else. But it is the only thing cool and new, regardless if it really sucks...

Do you want to hear more about broken 360's and PS3? or how about the over hyped Wii... The IpHone is a refresh from all of that.
