Please be advised that children crying wolf is an issue that needs to be dealt with. Children these days are too mischevious most likely occuring from the entertainment they watch. We need to restrict TV shows like teletubies and change all the stories and music in our culture to serve the purpose of making virtuous citizens. The government must take this stand and restrict all media in a very conservative form of censorhip.

Jeb, what hippie tree did you fall from. That is actually the wrong issue. The issue is that parents dont discipline their kids properly anymore, and spend less time doing a parents job. This leaves children only one route and that is guidelessness in whatever route the choose. Besides this kid is 4 and the real question is where is the parent that let her kid play with a cell phone long enough to make that many calls. I would say the time it takes to make that many calls, the parent is either grossly ignoring their kid, or 2 the kid must be an Fing genius to hide that much from her mother.

You are correct in the issue being the parent not being alert to what there child is doing especially that often. Here are a few things to consider though...the child is only 4 years old and might have been playing with the phone and found out 911 works and that was the only one so he/she kept dialing it...also there are alot of people that do not know that once a cellphone has been deactivated the 911 calls can still be placed from that phone. So the parents while lazy or maybe a little short on imagination for toys(lol) decided to give their kid the old cellphone which now ended up leading to this sad but almost laughable issue. Hopefully she didn't tie up the line for a real emergency.

My question is, was the parent recahrging the phone each day for the kid to play with? If you leave a phone on, it should go dead after a few days? How was she able to keep making calls all month?

I'd never give my kid a cell phone as a toy ... You know how lithium ion batteries react to water no? Wouldn't want to risk giving my child a tumor either! ^_^
