I have one of their MP3 players so hopefully the firmware update will available soon.

Currently I have a 2gb edition Sansa that I bought in the beginning of this year and I absolutely love it. The subscription service is what really got me, 15 bucks a month for virtually an unlimited library of music. I am strongly thinking on getting their new 8gb version w/ wifi this fall so that I can use the subscription wherever there is a wireless network. Then hopefully with a firmware update I'll have even more content in the form of videos with Divx.

I have a Sansa and I love it. Sandisk is doing a great job keeping the player up to date and better than the iPod.

released. I bought a sansa e250 for my daughter's birthday last year. the firmware has been buggy and flaky since day one.. and there has yet to be a single firmware update this year. The sansa forums are full of complaints and suggestions. It seems that although it COULD be a great product, they are incapable of supporting it.

uhhh, I have an e280, it's most recent firmware was released like 2 weeks ago. It fixed the only bug I'd seen which involved the back light sometimes refusing to turn on. Maybe you should occasionally actually go to their website.

I'm looking forward the the DivX update. Hopefully it will be available for the E250. I wonder if it would also be able to play Xvid's? =)

there are tons of Flash video sites out there but only one DivX.
The DivX codec is also slowly fading away since its outdated now.

Would be nice to support VP6/7 and H264 but maybe the player chips are not fast enough for that.

DivX is not fading away you loser[Ted]. Flash video is great for bad quality online streaming video. DivX is something else. It is immensely popular as a matter of fact...for sharing high quality pirated movies. Anybody familiar with warez can tell u that.
