$1500 for a phone is crazy. I'll admit it looks cool but really what are you going to do with a $500 let alone $1500. Trust me she won't think your cool because you carry an iphone, save your money.

Anyone claiming to be getting a phone better be working at a store and hope ATT doesn't clamp down on employee purchases. IMO ebay should pull all these sales as no one can guarantee they will get a phone with no pre-sale and estimates running as low as 20 phones at the Times Square store.

According to reports on the engineering, iPhone, like iPod cannot be opened by the user, it has to be opened by Apple or AT&T/Cingular. How do you plan to get your SIM cards in there? Wait for the official release and save yourself a lot of embarassment...

It seems similar to what happned to the PS3 on eBay; some listed for over a million dollars. Do people really need the iPhone for $1500 when they can get it for alot less when it officially goes on sale?

The iPhone looks cool in the commercial. I am not sure why they are dissing the iPod since they make that too. The iPhone features look really cool.

In addition to the phone cost is the premium service for using the streaming data if you want video. AT&T/Cingular currently wants an extra $20/month for the "CV service". $240/year to use the video...
