I am really sick of tech companies publishing specs of thier products and releasing two to three months later. Then delay delay delay. It gets so frustrating infact that you almost want the other company to best them before they get out of the gate with such a late relative release. This point of view might stem from the fact that AMD is very close to failing at besting Intel simply because they are so slow with products that seem marginal in performance. I have been using AMD for the last 4 years now...it kills me to actually have to look at Intel solution simply because I am tired of waiting for product. The Intel Q6600 quadcore is looking mighty good right now. Unless AMD releases the new quadcore at the same price...I don't think I am even going to bother with the extra 10-20% performance increase.

Where is AMD real silicon that one can order now??? I can put up with any more products on paper. Thanks a lot so much if AMD shows me the real stuff.

Guys, if you hate reading about products you can't actually buy, stop reading the news, and then you will be pleasantly surprised the next time you actually go to buy something, otherwise, quit your whining. And Jody, if you need that upgrade now, and I mean "need" then feel free to buy what you think is best. I hate to say it, by the time you buy that Quad Core part, someone else is going to paper announce that an 8 core part is going to be released next year, that's just the way the tech industry is, either you meet your needs when you need to, or you are forever going to wait for that "next best thing".

I hope that rack is insured!
