San Jose (CA) - Through a new limited time in-store promotion, Toshiba's HD-A2 HD DVD player will be available for under $300 beginning next week.
Toshiba's campaign, which begins on May 20, will slash prices of all its HD DVD players by $100 when purchased at a brick-and-mortar retail store such as Best Buy. At the lowest end of the scale is Toshiba's HD-A2, which carries a list price of around $400. After the $100 discount, the price is knocked down to $299. The promotion will end on June 9, reports TV Predictions. In addition, Toshiba has a current promotion that gives consumers five free HD DVD movies with the purchase of any Toshiba player. The average list price of each of the 15 selected titles is around $28.
