Never give up. I hope that whoever buys it will take care of that car and install a kickass sound system, or not.

From everything that I have read about this, this car was NEVER in the series and was built by John after the show had ended. The car is worth maybe 25k$ and that is the reason the guy walked away from the auction. Brings further questions to the surface of who is robbing who.

It's all about supply & demand... ain't nothing got to do with robbing.

There were several cars used by the series, I've heard as many as 20. Most were fixed up cosmetically on the outside then used for stunt jumps, after 1 or 2 the frame and body would be permanently damaged and they were scrapped.

Ran out of cars to junk. In reality, if I remember right, each episode went through about 5-7 General lee cars. 1 Jump was enough to destory the frame/structure to make it unsafe and unpredictable to use. 1-2 interiour cars and a few Exterior show cars for no stunts.

I remember reading an article, when the cars are piled onto a flat-bed truck - kids would cry when they saw them... "What happened?" heheh
