Lux Entertainment is marketing a pair of weather-resistant entertainment centers. The ARRIS-AR26SSMCE and the ARRIS-AR26SSA contain 26" flat-panel LCD screens in a stainless steel shell. Lux Entertainment claims the shell is "virtually indestructible" and can shield the electronics from rain and water splashes.

The AR26SSMCE is meant to stream media and a Windows Media Center Extender. A Wi-Fi connection will take movies, music and pictures from a Windows Media server and display them on the screen. In addition to the Sharp LCD screen, the unit contains two marine-grade speakers. The AR26SSA is basically the same unit without Wi-Fi and media extender. Buyers will need to use a long and weatherized extension cord with the systems: While the unit itself is weather-resistant, the required power outlet probably is not.

The AR26SSMCE is currently available for $6500 and the AR26SSA is selling for $5800.
