Toshiba has made six new additions to its line of Satellite notebook PCs, including two high performance models. At $2,799, the Satellite 4100XDVD offers Intel's fastest processor available, the 400MHz Mobile Pentium II. The $2,399 Satellite 4090XDVD features a 400MHz Mobile Celeron. Designed for business and corporate customers, both models feature a 14.1" active matrix display, a DVD-ROM drive, a 6.4GB hard drive and 64MB of SDRAM (expandable to 192MB). Personal and home office users have three new models to choose from: the Satellite 2595XDVD with a 6.4GB hard drive, 14.1" TFT active-matrix display and 2X DVD-ROM drive for $2,299; the Satellite 2595CDT with a 6.4GB hard drive, 12.1" active matrix display and 24X CD-ROM drive for $1,799; and the Satellite 2595CDS with a 4.3GB hard drive, 24X CD-ROM drive and 13" Color Bright display for $1,599. All three 2595 series models feature a 400MHz Intel Celeron processor and 64MB of memory, while the Satellite 2060CDS/2065CDS comes with a 366MHz AMD K6-2 processor, 4.3GB hard drive, 24X CD-ROM drive and 12.1" Color Bright display for $1,399.
