New York (NY) – Analysts are predicting a slowdown in big screen television set sales in the upcoming quarters.  People are less willing to buy 46-inch and larger screened sets because they have less money to spend, according to these analysts. 

One analyst at iSuppli says inventory levels are “very high” and tracking at approximately 8 weeks.  But there is an upside to the slow sales, stores could cut prices to move inventory out the door.  Like most predictions though, the data isn't exactly clear.  Some stores are reporting fairly brisk sales thanks to the recently mailed economic stimulus tax rebate checks.
