Posted by Trent Nouveau

The TPmini can best be described as Android-powered (4.1, Jelly Bean) set-top box designed to rest on top of a flat TV screen with a camera pointed in the user's direction.

Specs? A 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor paired with ARM Mali 400 graphics. The TPMini is also equipped with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, HDMI (out) WiFi and Ethernet.

A microSD card provides extra storage, while two USB (2.0) ports can be used to connect a keyboard, mouse, gamepad, remote control or a USB flash drive.

Although the TPmini is not packaged with a remote, the device can be controlled via an Android mobile app from your phone or tablet.

The TPmini is expected to hit the streets in China for about $56 in the near future. Interested? Additional information is available here. Of course, you may also want to check out the Android-powered MK818 and H5, both of which feature front-facing cameras.
