Las Vegas (NV) - The ZVUE 400 features a 3.5" LCD screen with 320 x 240 resolution in a landscape-format that supports videos at 30 frames per second. It also features 512 MB of on-board flash memory, both Compact Flash and secure digital/multimedia card slots (SD/MMC), a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and compatibility with Windows Media Video (WMV) and Windows Media Audio (WMA) Digital Rights Management.

The Wi-Fi ZVUE (Model 500) is identical to the ZVUE 400, but comes with 1 GB of on-board Flash memory, has wireless (Wi-Fi) 802.11a/b/g connectivity and also features a "phone style button pad" on the front of the device.

The company said it will have working ZVUE 400 devices at CES 2006 and plans to have "initial samples of the WiFi ZVUE in February 2006".

The new ZVUE 400 is expected to begin shipping in the first quarter of 2006 with an estimated retail price of less than $225, while the Wi-Fi ZVUE is said to follow in Q2 2006 with an estimated retail price of less than $300.
