Most media players, whether they are set-top boxes or PCs-on-a-stick, aren't exactly designed to win any awards, at least in terms in terms of aesthetics.
However, if you want a device that stands out for its unique design, you may want to check out Tronsmart's new media player.
The Android-powered device is appropriately dubbed "Prometheus" and sells for $99. If you've seen the movie Prometheus (and most of you probably have), you will undoubtedly recognize the visual similarity between the little streaming device and the ship.
Prometheus runs Android 4.1.2 and is powered by a 1.5GHz AMLogic AML8726-M6 dual- core ARM Cortex A9 processor paired with a Mali-400 GPU. Additional features include 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of integrated flash storage and an SD card slot.
Other key specs? Integrated Wi-Fi, Ethernet, three USB 2.0 host ports, HDMI and composite output.
Prometheus is packaged with a power adapter, user manual and the required mini HDMI cable for $99.
