Are you an Android enthusiast who just can't stop coveting the high-resolution retina display on Apple's iPad?

Well, you may want to check out the Cube U9GT5 Android Jellybean tablet. The device features a 9.7-inch display at 264 pixels per inch - approximately the same pixel density as the Retina display used in the iPad. The exact resolution of the screen is 2048 x 1536.

While the Cube tablet and the iPad share a very similar screen, there are significant hardware differences between the two devices. For example, the Cube tablet is powered by a 1.6 GHz RK3066 dual-core CPU paired with ARM Mali 400 graphics and 1 GB of RAM.

The tablet is available in two storage capacities: 8 GB or 16 GB. Both iterations feature on-board Wi-Fi,  Bluetooth, an integrated camera with flash and full access to the Google Play store. Unfortunately, we still don't know the price of the tablet or date of availability.

Interestingly, a video has tipped up of the tablet being benchmarked, although the source may be somewhat questionable. Assuming this device doesn't suffer from some sort of significant performance issue, and the price is right, it should be very appealing to Android users who have been on the lookout for a tablet with a large, high-resolution display.
