Archos 97 Carbon is a $250 Android tablet

If you’re in the market for a reasonably priced Android tablet with a large screen, you may want to check out the 97 Carbon manufactured by Archos.

The tablet runs Android 4.0 ICS, sells for a cool $250 and is packed with sweet features, including a 9.7-inch IPS multitouch screen with a resolution of 1024×768.

The tablet measures 11.5 mm thick and weighs 21.8 ounces, making it quite portable.

A number of apps are pre-installed, such as Google Apps, with the 97 Carbon supporting over 600,000 apps and games available on the Google Play store.

The tablet is powered by a 1 GHz ARM A8 Cortex processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal flash storage – which is expandable to 48GB (total) via microSD cards.

The the 97 Carbon is also equipped with a full-size USB port, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and HDMI out supporting full 1080p video (accessory cable not included).

Additional key specs include up to 8 hours of video playback, a 2-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front camera, integrated stereo speakers, a microphone, and G sensor.
