New look; new media

Yes, we've changed the way TG Daily looks because, frankly, no one seemed that interested in steampunk hotties, and we probably needed to do some growing up. Also, the old look was beginning to look, well, old.

As is usually the case with these things, there are teething problems. Things don't work as they should. We are working to fix them ASAP and appreciate your feedback.

The good news is that you should see the site load up much faster. The old design was just a smidgen slow. The new design should be faster. Also, you may also notice at the top of each page we now have the name Velum Media. We is a network now.

What does that mean?

We have friends, that's what. We have SmallCloudBuilder, that just got launched, and it is pretty unique because, they actually review SaaS applications and the site isn't just some boring corporate vision of crowd. It's real stuff for you, me, small to medium sized businesses. Just about the perfect demographic to take advantage of developments in the crowd.

We still have our partnership with SmallNetBuilder, which is the best place to go for reviews, news, and information on networking products.

We have expanded our relationship with Mxdwn, one of the coolest music enthusiast sites on the Web. Because they're good, we enjoy reading their stuff, and so do you, it seems. Also, the kind of people who work there are our kind of people. They fit.

We have two sites for cutting edge development in mobile and web applications. iCodeBlog is a great site for iOS developers. RubyGlob does the same for the Ruby community.

We think the two sites offer great insight into the the tools and technologies that make the web hum. And, the readers of those sites, well, we think the future Zuckerbergs of this world are somewhere out there among them.

So, enjoy the new Velum Media network. And don't hesitate to tell us how we can get better. Of course, we know you won't forget to do that. Thanks,
