Online giant Amazon is set to open a chain of stores in the UK, in the wake of Borders UK going into administration in the last fortnight.
According to the Sunday Times, the move, which is being made in utmost secrecy, Amazon wants to augment its presence on the web by fulfilling a so-called "click and connect" model.
Several UK retailers, including Argos, already offer a similar scheme.
But, according to the report, Amazon is unlikely to snap up stores in the centre of UK cities, and instead will open out of town premises to customers can more easily park,
Amazon refused to comment on the move, said the Sunday Times report, here.
