AMD’s board of directors approved a salary increase for its chief financial officer Bob Rivet, who recently also assumed the role of chief operating officer at the company. Rivet’s base salary will climb from $599,000 to $650,000 per year. Rivet also received an improved incentive plan that includes a bonus of up to 175% of his base salary instead of only 150%. Rivet’s total compensation for 2007 was about $4.3 million.
It is interesting to note that Dirk Meyer, the company’s previous president and COO and recently appointed president and CEO, has a base salary of $695,000 and saw a 2007 compensation of about $3.2 million Those numbers are well below AMD’s previous CEO and current chairman of the board Hector Ruiz. Ruiz continues to get a base salary of $1.2 million per year and received a total 2007 compensation of about $8.1 million.
