DRAM price drop pressure spreads across the board

Weakness in the memory industry is now spreading across the board as witnessed in further price cut pressure among chip makers and packaging and testing houses, as well as memory module houses such as Kingston Technology.Latest spot quotes of 512 Mbit DDR2-533 and DDR2-667 were $1.82 and $1.80 on May 16 where quotes for the same-density effectively tested (eTT) chips were $1.35, according to figures posted by DRAMeXchange.
