Isuppli questions value of SRAM probe

  • The US Department of Justice (DOJ) last week announced an investigation of alleged anticompetitive practices among suppliers of Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). "While iSuppli has no opinion on the validity of the DOJ allegations, we do feel compelled to question whether the resulting expense and legal wrangling will be worthwhile, given that standalone SRAM is a market in decline - and a small market at that," said Mark DeVoss, senior analyst, flash /SRAM/MCP for iSuppli.
