Fall VON: Broadcom gets VoIP chip wins with Samsung, TCL

  • Broadcom today announced two design wins in the consumer VoIP market.

    The company's Wi-Fi VoIP chipset is used in Samsung's SMT-W5100 for small businesses and the SMT-W6100 multimedia phone for consumers. Broadcom's Wi-Fi VoIP chipset consists of its single-chip 802.11b/g WLAN radio and BCM1161 mobile VoIP processor.

    The other design-in is the BCM1190 residential IP phone chip in TCL Communication's new TCL-IP(16) IP phone.

    Both products are currently shipping.
