Microsoft claims Belkin infringed U2 patent

  • Microsoft has filed a complaint against peripherals maker Belkin for allegedly infringing on a Microsoft patent pertaining to its U2 technology. The software company filed its claim with the International Trade Commission, alleging Belkin refused to discuss a potential licensing deal for the use of U2 technology. Microsoft said it currently licenses the technology to various other companies, and has tried to engage Belkin in a licensing deal for the past two years.
