China brought $9 billion in revenues for Motorola in 2005

  • Motorola generated revenues of $8.99 billion in China's handset market in 2005, accounting for 24.4% of the company's global revenues for the year, the Chinese-language website Sina.com reported recently, citing sources at Motorola. Motorola was ranked as the second largest vendor in China's handset market in 2005, trailing after only Nokia, the report said, citing data by China's Ministry of Information Industry.
