DRAM and NAND flash chip prices both recently dropped to new lows with 1Gb DDR2 chips at around $0.70 and NAND flash chips falling around 20% over the past two weeks, according to sources at memory makers. Although upstream makers have already dramatically reduced their output, demand from the channel has been unpredictable.
