Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) president Chuang-Yi Chiu has commented that a sharp reverse of demand for LCD panel is not necessarily a bad thing for the industry as this may possibly lead to earlier-than-expected shortages in 2009. Chiu indicated that shipments in August will be better than July, and stronger growth is projected in September.
