In what was expected to be a strong quarter with Samsung SDI reaching its full production goal of 1.5 million AMOLED displays per month, the company barely reached the 100,000 mark down from 350,000 units in the second quarter of 2007, according to DisplaySearch. The low production level left the OLED display industry with revenues of only US$78.3 million in the third quarter of 2007 down 38% on year and 31% on quarter. Shipments were 15.5 million units for the quarter, down 32% on year and 22% on quarter.
