The People's Republic of China - also known as Zhōngguó - has eclipsed Japan and is now the world's second largest economy.
According to World Bank projections cited by Reuters, China remains on course to overtake the United States and assume the role of the world's number one economic superpower by the year 2025.
However, China's per-capita income, which hovers at a mere $3,800 a year, is still quite low compared to America or Japan.
Nevertheless, a recent op-ed in the government-controlled People's Daily urged the United States to "recognize and accept" China's inevitable rise "onto the world stage."
"No one would like to see the negative effects rocky relations would bring to China, the United States and possibly to the world as a whole," explained Zhong Sheng.
"[But] issues such as arms sales to Taiwan, Google censorship, RMB exchange rates [and] finger-pointing about economic responsibility show Washington still seems confused and impatient about relations with China."
Sheng also noted that ties between China and the United States represented the "most important and complicated" bilateral relationship of the 21st century.
"The development of Sino-US relations will affect world peace and stability, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.
"[Of course], the United States needs both wisdom and determination to recognize and accept China, a country that is totally different from its own, as a power on the world stage," he added.
@ Tony: spot on .....
Amazing... Even Windows Live Mail is better at blocking spam than the staff at tgdaily. "cloudy" the verbiage generating bot strikes again!
BTW, sit on it, Zhong Sheng, you authoritarian rat-f*cking lick spittle. China will surpass the U.S. as an economic superpower ~in~ ~spite~ of the CCP, ~not~ because of it. China would have caught up to the United States 40 years ago had that power-lusting work-shy mass murdering SOB Mao Zedong not turned the country into a Communist labour camp.
Perish the thought, matey, about “World Power”, “Hegemony”, and their tag-alongs ‘cos it/Division ain’t going to get that far. Afterall, being a first is not for realising/maintaining the/its last, the hallmark of Division, because being a ”first”/the-beginning means to wait/cater for the/its “last”/the-ending. Confused or there's just a cannon on the loose. How about zero actually being infinity, which is why the infinite-possibilities of looking at the “heavens” will drown any ego trying to maintain that it is the first. “Ether”/empty-space is not one of the five fundamental elements of the material-cosmos/electromagnetism for nothing, ether will gobble-up any madman stemming from the “left” or the “right”, and so will Earth, Fire & Water. Egomaniacs, those who pay lip-service to “Nature” being impossibly large whilst plotting otherwise, have yet to be lost in, say, the ocean with no land in sight nor any means of communicatiing with their reality. That’s why they are projecting saviourship as Global Warming, Carbon Emmissions, Billions, Infinity, or any concept to possess anything they have no real means of fathoming other than through owning within their Right-Mind/Projectivity.
“China”, or transliterally, “Middle Country”, does not mean the centre of anything. The word “middle” here actually means the English colloquial “straight-and-narrow” as in being astute, honest, noble and humble, and not so much “inscrutably middle”. Nothing like “Charlie Chan”, ”Fu Manchu”, “Hollywood”, and”Anglo-Saxony”, junking up ‘fings for the colonisation/dumbing-down of their breatherens, and neither do the Gauls and the Teutons mind either. At the penultimate stage of Evolution, China, whether the Chinese likes it, knows it, or not, represents, through the outwitting of Division, the potentiation of Integration/Collectivity [not to be confused with collectivisation] through “Globalisation”, although true integration is not going to happen in Reality other than the making of non-value added/value-added goods, but the enactment is there for those who are courageous enough to open their true eyes to have a peek.
There is no such thing as being better, oka Division, when zero/the-beginning is also infinity/the-ending. When an entity is born only to die, what does time mean? Really? Cocksure? and all because the history books tell that … and the pyramids are monuments to …. and that 1 mile high tower boasts that …. and the “Space Station” is performing miraculous …….. Not when one is [seemingly] no more, matey. Still can’t see it or is the ego the better self, sustained by worshipping/acceptance - not when acceptance today is merely rejection tomorrow, and without a single exception too.
“Achievement” is but a dream when it is physical, which is why the destruction one has achieved/accumulated accompanies after one’s physical demise, should there be existence after the physical expiration, of course. That, minimum of minimum, says that ownership issues, oka accumulations, and its antithesis, flow, oka Love [not to be confused with mere “love” and its altergeo, indifference, Love having no concept of indifference], are not physical. Much as divine incarnations, should they have existed/exist, have shown that knowledge is not the point, because you cannot pass-on any real achievement, [real] Achievement being already at Inception. Witness that popular and successful business called, “Religion”. Reality, within the realm of Relativity, begins with empowerment, not knowledge, the reverse only being true within the realm of Reality/Divinity. “China” , like everything else, is not about the Chinese, but about Chinese Culture, which is slowly being eroded by the chickens/worshippers and lions/saviours introduced by “The West”. That is to be expected, of course, which is why Reality, being ominscient amongst other attributes, has made provisions for the manoeuvrings Relativity is constantly plotting for - long before they became thoughts.
