San Francisco (CA) - BitTorrent announced that it will cutting half of its work force, which translates into only 18 people, hints to serious trouble. The layoffs are in addition to a 20% cut in August.

Additionally, Ashwin Navin, co-founder, announced that he would be leaving the company as well, even though he informed the board of directors of his decision to part ways already  in March of this year. CEO Doug Walker was also replaced.

BitTorrent will reportedly close its BitTorrent Entertainment Network, which was founded as an attempt to compete with iTunes. With the remaining 20 employees, BitTorrent will be focusing on BitTorrent DNA, a content delivery network that aids video game and other media companies in the distribution of their products via the web.
