Chicago (IL) - There is no rest for the weary, and already the heady job of preparing for presidency is upon Barack Obama. As such, President-elect Obama has named two technology executives to his transition team.

Sonal Shah of Google.org, Google’s entrepreneurial division, and Julius Genachowski, a former IAC executive, have both been named to the transition team, which help Senator Obama to move into the new role ofPresident Obama.

Genachowski has known Obama since their days at Harvard Law School, and has been advising the Obama campaign on tech policy issues. He served at the Federal Communications Commission as chief counsel to former Democratic Chairman Reed Hundt, as well as the co-founder of Rock Creek Ventures and LaunchBox Digital.

Shah on the other hand has served as vice president at Goldman Sachs before joining Google.org’s Global Development team. She is also the co-founder of Indicorpos.

Reports also suggest that Obama’s team is about to launch a new website, www.change.gov. Currently, the website requires a username and password to enter, but rumor suggests that it will appear sometime today.
